Piñata Marci by LaLa Land

I have NEWS, we did sell our home and in a few months I will be setting up our new home in South Dakota!  I am excited but my poor husband has to stay here and continue his business until fall.  Now I have to find a place for him to live, temporarily! lol  This summer will be busy and I will be driving back and forth between States exchanging teens and visiting my husband, someone has to cook for him!  I think the first room I will set up is the Craftroom!

My first Marci card!  At first I did not care for them and after a few years I thought I should open my mind and buy one.  So happy I did, she was fun to color and I had to buy more of Marci.  I have always loved LaLa Land dies and they all go perfectly with the images so why not get a few Marci's.  No boys allowed on the blog! My rule! lol

Today is an new challenge at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog the theme is ANYTHING GOES.  It is so easy to pop a card into the entry for your chance to win $20.00 at the 7 Kids College Fund Store.  Only 1 RULE, use a image or main items that are available in the store, easy!

I wanted this card to be festive like the image and full of life.  I went die cut happy.

Marci is colored in Copics, the extra blue marks are to show movement in the piñata as she is hitting it. lol  Around the edge of the image I rubbed black ink and then Frantaged to get the confetti look.

Here are florals from Live Love Crafts and a Magnolia doohickey die Sprawling Fern as well as a swirl die.

I used LaLa Lands Heart Doily Border on the left side and again at the top of the card with Magnolia doohickey feathers.  In some of the corners you can see LaLa Lands Decorative Corner die in white.

In this photo are LaLa Lands Heart Doily, Birthday corner and Heart Doily Border dies all in white and edged with black ink.  I also have the top swirl die and tucked in the mix in blue stripe is 1 Magnolia doohickey envelope edge die.

I am playing with my photos and trying to improve so I enhanced this one differently.  Thank you for stopping by today and I sure hope you make something available from the 7 Kids College Fund Store and enter your creation into our new challenge at 7 Kids College Fund Blog Challenge.

I think about you blogger friends and I am sad to keep ignoring you but it is not intentional.  I will be around from time to time as I do miss visiting your blogs.
Take care and keep crafting!

Snail Mail

Hello, I hope you are having a wonderful week!
Today I have a card to shoe you that I made for the Southern Ridge Trading Company Blog.  I used Flourish FLO-009 from the Southern Ridge Trading Company Store.

Here is my card using Snail Mail by Saturated Canary

I used my Go-Kreate dies and scrap paper to create the card base.  My image is colored in Copics.

The right side of the card

This is the Flourish chipboard in its natural color and I mounted a resin flower onto it.
Here is the other flourish I tucked into my floral arrangement.  The flourishes come in a set of 5.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my card.
Wishing you a very happy day!

High Heel Glam by Tattered Lace Dies

Hello and welcome to my blog!
Today is the start of a new challenge at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog, our theme is Anything Goes.  The Design Team has chosen to get out our new CHA 2014 goodies and show them off.  I have a few on my card that I would like to share with you.

My favorite CHA 2014 is the High Heel shoe from Tattered Lace and Heart doily from LaLa Land and of course Pion papers to add the elegance.  I love shoes, love them!! My back cannot stand them, therefore, no fun for me. Oh well, I do like to admire shoes and my Facebook followers know when I am on as I "LIKE" all the shoes, one after the other, like a game they come at me. Addictive and purses too.

I won this Tattered Lace die, High Heel Glam from the owner of the 7 Kids College Fund Store so I was pretty happy with that!  It is delicate with the bonus feature of butterflies!

I saw this saying on Pinterest and I hope not to offend but sometimes these things are true. It actually made me laugh as women can be pretty catty.  My tag is decorated with small elements from the Pion paper line and edged with Distressed Ink.

I put layers of pleated tulle down and the crocheted and pearl lace on top. I wanted a elegant feel.

Magnolia doohickey swirly butterflies blend in with the Pion ones and add more elegance.  I had no black pearls so used Onyx liquid pearls and they look just as nice.

A girl can never have too many shoes, in die cuts also!  Tattered Lace has more!!
Hope to see you enter our newest challenge at 7 Kid College Fund Blog and enter to win the $20.00 gift certificate to the 7 Kids College Fund Store.

Good Luck!
Kelly

Scrapbooking with Chipboard

Hello Everyone!  I have 2 scrapbook pages to share with you today.  These are baby photos of my son  who is now 5 years old, better late than never! lol  I am using Southern Ridge Trading Company chipboard pieces in the pages to enhance them better.  I really fell in love with their chipboard and I was sad to leave my DT position with them due to our moving out of State.  But I will be buying more from Karen again!

Here is my first page to share with you

My paper is Pion and the little accents are stickers I have had for about 5 years now, lol.

This is chipboard piece BAN-284 from Southern Ridge Trading Company.  I painted it and after it dried the lines appeared from the original banner Karen made.  I wrote my son's name on it with a Copic multi-liner pen, and oh I forgot the i in his name, hehe.

This piece is PAT-274 and is covered in Shabby White Frantage.  I put some gauze on and then the lamb on top of it.

I love these cute characters for this page, they blend in nicely. The key is also from Southern Ridge Trading Company and Frantaged. I placed it on top of a bark heart and a few pearls nearby.

Here are more tags going down the side

I made this pocket to store mine and his hospital tags in. I love those tiny keepsakes so I took a white bag and attached the cute cow and labels on it and now they can stay there safely.

PAGE TWO

This one I Frantaged my chipboard to blend in and enhance the photos

Here are the Frantaged Hearts HRT-076 in Shabby Pink in the center and Shabby White on the outside.  I love using small chit chat stickers to pop a meaningful word on.

Both corners are COR-181 and Frantaged in Aged Ivory and I love how the frame the photos

This piece is a tag TAG-071 and butterfly INS-255.  The tag is covered with paper and on the very bottom is Frantaged in blue, I love those swirls at the bottom.  The butterfly is painted in blue and then liquid pearls are dotted all over.

Another chipboard heart and Whimsy postal stamp

So this was a long post and there are going to be very few of them for a few months while I am moving our family to a new State and setting up the house.  While I shopped for a house the Craftroom was #1 priority and good internet so I could keep in touch with you!
Have a great week and see you soon!
