A Gratitude Journal for Valentines

I purchased Teresa Collins Gratitude Journal quite a while ago and thought about a Valentine gift.  My husband loves to look at our scrapbooks so I have not even started one of him and I so I just highlighted bigger events that brought us joy and closeness in our relationship.

It is a basic journal that you have to put together and create pages and how to bind it together.  Her journal cards, tags and pockets are really nice as well as the paper.  3 ribbons were included and I added my own bling and my own design.
I tried to use the 18 year span of our marriage to tell the story and show a little of our personalities.
There are tags to attach and pockets to fill with monthly journal references and cute sayings.

You can see the pocket file cards that I turned into photo cards.  My how we have aged.
The kids like a little quirkiness from their parents but I didn't capture a lot of photos during the early years popping out children and running our own business.
The end of the book is our recent Quest to climb Harney's Peak in the Black Hills, we had one of our best times together doing this and you cannot really see around the top of the right page but I listed the attributes of our journey up this mountain. My husband will like this page best.
The papers are gold although my camera cast's some of them yellow, they are rich in color and adding bling was a necessary thing to some of it, Girls gotta have it.
Thanks for stopping in.

Positively Pampered

This card is made for my mom, she needs some pampering so I am delivering some food to her today with the Lili Of The Valley card I made here:

This fairy is a recently released image from Lili Of The Valley, she is sweet!  I used Copic markers  and stickled her wings and puff. Then I tried to sew a straight line with my 3 year helping me, so you could say it was sewn with helping hands!  The DP and lace is from Websters' Pages, one of their gorgeous new releases.  My flowers are from Wild Orchid and match the prim and delicate fairy.

I used Distressed paint to edge the colored card stock, it needed to be toned down a bit and then added pearls.  The sentiment is part of this fairy from Lili Of The Valley.

Inside the card is highlighted with Websters' Pages paper and tickets on top of a Magnolia Doo-hickey die tag.  I put lace and peals on it too, The girlier, the better!

Thank you for visiting me today!

Valentines Card

I have been working on this card for a week, actually I have been interrupted and this card finally got taped together so I could enter it into a few challenges.  We know how that goes!

I need a Grand Calibur as my Vegabond isn't big enough for the bigger Spellbinders so I have to piece the back of the card together and make my own envelopes if I were to mail it.  Some day.
I chose to use Echo Park 6x6 paper pad "Yours Truly" I love the designs on the papers as they are more versatile  for other types of cards.

Tilda is colored in Copics and I wrapped Bakers Twine around her feet and to hold the charm onto a ribbon of netting.

The sentiment is from Sweet Crazy Love 2012, Magnolia. and I used a Martha Stewart doily heart punch to create the scallop circle hearts as well as the random hearts.
The pink top is tissue ribbon from Melissa Frances to create a tag.  The red heart border is from a stamping Up border punch from 2011.

First Pion Paper Card

OK ladies bear with me, I love the Pion Paper and splurged last month and bought some.  It was hard to cut it up but I tried to showcase the pretty parts of the paper.  So this card is my favorite and I am shocked that I actually water colored Tilda this well!  I aged the card to fit into the new
 Magnolia-licious Highlites Challenge

I have a tag tucked inside the square on top.  The Trust, Love and Adore tickets are from Tim Holtz and the other side I made myself with a Cricut cartridge from Creative Memories.  The butterflies on the card were made from Stampinup and Papertrey Ink dies.  The window she is sitting on is from a Cricut cartridge from Close To My Heart.

I still cannot believe I colored her this nicely.  Hopefully not a rare moment for me.

The flowers very Prima to Micheals and I think accent her rose well.

In each corner of the Pion Paper "From My Heart II is a design and so soft that I did not want to cover it, so I enhanced it by turning it into a frame type look.

The tags are taped together to form one, Melissa Frances and then Magnolia Doo-hickey is on top.  I took this butterfly from Pion paper and made a postage stamp out of it.  My butterfly is from Stampinup.

Here is the tag and the card together.

On the inside left I made a banner with the Friendship recipe  sentiment from Lili of the Valley.  I inked a doily and when it went on the glue turned my colors pink and green instead of vintage and gray.

This is a full piece of Pion paper that I could not touch, just love the cupids and heart so I left it be the writing page.  It didn't need any more than that.

Now I wish I had the Magnolia Cupid to go with these cuties.

Still pretty happy with her.  It took a lot of practice and she was my last image to color.  I was saving her for a special card.
Thanks to you all for your generous comments, I adore them.  Wishing you a happy weekend ahead!

With Love and Hearts

This card was inspired by another little package from Cami.  I have flourishes that are see through or white and they form a heart shape.  I used them on the outside and inside of the card.

Rose scented Tilda is sitting on a Magnolia tag, floating on hearts.   I used all Magnolia papers as they go perfect with her rose.  On her rose I put liquid pearl.

A close up of the plastic flourishes Cami gave me, Thank you!  The white one follows the doily heart I made with my Cricut and the clear flourish is off to the left  and I put a Melissa Frances lock on it.
A few dew drops and hearts with distressed paint dabbed on them made it more girly.

On the inside are 2 white flourishes forming a heart and then I used a flower die cut on the center of the heart.  The Birthday love sentiment is new from Lili of the Valley.

I am entering this card in the following challenges
Simply Magnolia Challenge, Love and Hearts

Thank you for stopping by my blog today, happy creating!

Two Simple Cards

I have been practicing coloring with Distressed Ink and Copics in between updating our business for tax season.  If only I could leave my craft room alone and do the accounting on a regular basis I would not have to spend days getting it together.  Craft room sounds more fun though.
Last night I couldn't sleep due to the crafting fever, so I made the two simple cards, but they are cute.

This first one is for the Challenge at 7 Kids Challenge #40
Red, Pink and White

My camera isn't expensive as I tend to break them often so it would not take a up close picture of this Tilda.  Her heart chain sparkles although you may not see it.

This card is tiny 3 1/2 x 4.  I used my Cricut to make the shape and then adorned it with Wild Orchid and Prima flowers.

I love flowers, need to win more!

Inside coordinates with the outside but very simple.
Back to the home office, (craft room) for more accounting.
