Magnolia-licious Love and/or Hearts

Today I am sharing a card with you for the newMagnolia-licious Challenge Love and/or Hearts.  We have a new collection in the store called A Touch of Love, I used Miracle Tilda.  I love this image as I can see her in my Bible journaling spreading love when the text talks about it.

I indulged in the Pion Papers, various flowers and doohickey dies for this card. The banners are cut from the Pion paper strips as well as the butterflies.  That paper has everything you need to make a card elegant and romantic.  I love papers in case you didn't know.

A closer look at the doohickey dies from Volumn 5 and the cut Pion decorative strip I used for banners throughout the card.

A very fluffy card.

Magnolia-licious is offering a $20.00 gift certificate in a random drawing for the challenge so I hope you join us and enter your Magnolia creation.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today and please visit my teammates too.
Have a great day!

"W"ednesday Mini Magnolia Pendant

Today I'm sharing with you a pendant I made for the "W"ednesday post for Magnolia-licious. This year we will be using Magnolia Mini World and Stamping Bella stamps for the "W"ednesday challenge, both are in the Magnolia-licious Store.

I colored my mini Magnolia in Copics and then put here inside the metal heart pendant with chunky glitter. I used Glossy Accents to cover her and let it dry.  Then I attached a few charms to the chain and it was done, easy and cheap gift to make.  My son's friend loved it (only 7 years old) so I gave it to her. lol

Please check out my other teammates creations from the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and join us by creating a Mini Magnolia or Stamping Bella image to win this gift from Diana.

Have a great day!

Anything Goes with Magnolia Image

Hope your day is going well!
Winter is cool this time of the year but the sun shines everyday here so you feel like you are in 70 degree weather. I love that, soaking up the sun in a recliner, lol Time to get crafting!

Today's Midweek Magnolias new Challenge is
ANYTHING GOES WITH A MAGNOLIA IMAGE

Bohemian Peony Tilda is colored with Distressed Inks and I used the new Valentine collection from  Pion designs.

I cut out some tags and butterflies from the Pion papers and used a few doohickeys to adorn the card. Not much is needed when you use Pion papers and a Magnolia Image as they make the card beautiful.

Please join us for the current challenge at Midweek Magnolias Challenge Anything Goes with a Magnolia Image.  Don't forget to visit my design team friends from Midweek Magnolias to see their lovely creations.  I will visit soon to see what you have created for our challenge.

Have a great day!

Prima Art Venture

Prima was so fun with my friend Karen, we were so tired as our brains filled up with new techniques and fast paced instruction.  We were given so many things to keep us crafting and gifts to bring home. Prima really put together a perfect 2 day class for us ladies.  Of course we shopped in their store for more products as well as meeting a few wonderful ladies.  This is a event that was worth the money to go to. Their products are becoming so versatile and I want to show you some of my finished projects that we made in Prima.

Using a wooden plaque and easel from Prima, we put some paper in the background and attached a necklace we made on it.  This project was given by Sandra Evertson who gave us a bit of history of the relics she has casted throughout her travels. She is full of energy and always smiling.

We used paper to cut out faces and make the cameos from that, the heart is a relic from Sandra Everton that we glued a strand of crystals onto and a cameo we made. All this metal, paper, frame is Prima.  I added the texture around the frame with Prima mask and moulding paste, then I used their new mica powders to color it lightly.

Finnabair, Anna was amazing, we had to work part of our lunch hour to finish our clocks, this was so fun we will be black gessoing everything. We glued on gears, flowers, metals, malange, and made the background with a new texture paste. We had fun! Anna Dabrowska is a very creative and talented teacher. I understood everything she said and what a beautiful young lady she is.

The relic is painted with the new Finnabair paint and glued to the back of the clock with other things. After gluing we gessoed it all in black then lightly dry brushed the new metallic paints on it. Amazing  colors that popped out.

You can see ordinary flowers here that we gesso in black and then lightly paint, the textures are amazing.

Sharon Laakkonen used a new Prima water color canvas with their water color crayons and foils to make this gorgeous scrap page, (canvas).  We used flower relics and sprayed them with Prima Bloom spray and added all kinds of florals and die cut leaves to achieve the corners.  The background is all water colored then lightly stamped, a mask with birds for texture and the matted photo.

Here you can see the relic with some of the foil along the edges.  This is a beautiful piece and they have a lot of different sizes of water color canvases.  I have to say that Sharon is like the nice neighbor next door, sweet, nice, positive and funny. She was so inspiring and fun to follow along with.

I am missing 2 more pieces, the plaque from John  C. Petersen I needed to glue again, the plane took its toll on it.  John is awesome, he is so nice and helpful for us, I loved his sense of humor. John is so fun to have around.  The book from Frank Garcia that we made never got finished so I will have to make all the pages inside and embellish them before I show you.  Frank is as he is on the Prima Ustream.  He invents the papers and embellishments which are all so awesome.

The best coordinator of all this was Denny Dupree, his hair is so cool and he is hip! lol  Very calm, full of energy and made sure this all worked for us ladies. He did a amazing job, worked hard for us and I want to thank him and all the instructors and helpers we had to give us this amazing experience.

Most of all my friend Karen made sure that I would not be alone when we were flying. I am so afraid to fly and she went out of her way to fly to Denver with me and then onto Florida both ways.  Going to CA was the biggest surprise, she is good at hiding things from me. hahaha  Her daughter in law , Amanda and grandson, Ezra surprised me at the airport in Denver and flew with us to CA. I had a lovely young mom and her baby to keep me calm and Karens hand that was being crushed as we went through turbulence.  The stewardess was so sweet and gave me a extra glass of wine so I could make it, but I cried at the end anyway, I think they were tears of joy. lol

Karen got me hooked on Starbucks and a Croissant every morning and was so easy to live with for the week.  I am so blessed, truly to have her in my life!!! I find it rare to find a friend that compliments me and whom I can live with, haha  I had such a great time, thanks for putting up with me Karen!!

I hope you were inspired by the creations I made and they are having another event in April with a gorgeous ocean view here is their Facebook page.

Have a great day,
Kelly

Winter Butterflies

Hello my friends.
I am trying to catch up from being gone only a week and I feel like I have a months worth of work to do. Crazy how things just keep rolling.  So early one morning I made this card, just a peaceful simple card with gorgeous Glistening Season Pion papers.  I just wanted to show you my pretty card.

My frame is a Spellbinders die cut.
I used doohickey dies to the top and highlight the sentiment from this collection.

I used various flowers to the bottom corners.  I tore the bottom of a winter scene and used it behind the image and made sure it peaks through the sides.  I also added glitter but it does not show well.

Thank you for leaving your comments.  I am trying to comment on your blogs, only 100 emails left to go, lol.

Have a great day!

Magnolia Licious Theme "WINTER" or "Anything Goes"

Hello my friends,
I am back from Anaheim, CA where I had the most crafting fun. My mind is full of new ideas.  Prima Art Venture had amazing instructors, they are so nice, talented, and I understood everything they said.  We went to CHA and walked around gazing at the newest products and drooled over their very talented designers creations.  I also had the pleasure to meet Karen Bueapre from Southern Ridge Trading Company, Tabitha Dromiak from 7 Kids College Fund as well as Rosemary Bridges.  Meeting them in person and hear their voices really made them real instead of virtual like the internet is.  I wish we had more time to hang out but another day.

We have a new challenge today at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and our first theme of the new year is
WINTER or ANYTHING GOES

I made a shaker card with glitter and sequins in it. I love my image Tilda with Snowy and so does everyone else as it is currently sold out.  Just send Diana a email and she will order it for you. I made 2 circles and the inside ring with Spellbinder dies and then I adorned the card with Doohickey dies.
The very background shape is a Go-Create die and I found this webbing and I liked the dimension on the bottom because the top is quite heavy with embellies.

I am hoping that Winter and Snow will be mild for the rest of this season.  At least we get about 98% sunshine on a daily basis, that makes me happy.

Please join us at Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog for the new Challenge "Anything Goes" or "Winter"

Hope you visit the other design team members as they have made some gorgeous creations to share with you.

Have a Sunny Wintery Day.
