Another Birthday with Tilda

I finally finished the other card from the same paper series as the previous post. MME Lost and Found's new collections.  I used Tilda with Balloon and water colored her a week ago.
Busy all the time, I wonder how I will be able to make cards when our homeschool starts in a few weeks.

I hope you enjoyed my card, thank you for stopping by my blog.  Have a great joyful day.

Vintage Birthday to Myself

I recieved a new order of 6x6 pads from My Minds Eye and I love them.  Today is my birthday so I made me a beautiful card. LOL  My hubby has spoiled me all day so far. I am a young 49 years old, 7 kids, 2 grandkids and two daughter-in-laws on a hobby farm in the most harsh climate in the USA.  Anyways I wanted to show you the card so here it is.

I colored her with Distressed Inks Walnut Stain, Brushed Corduroy for aging, and  Pine Needles.  The skin is Tea Dye and Worn Lipstick.

The round sentiment is from Papertrey Inks "Postal" and the embellies are from Websters Pages.  The doily I made from Papertrey Inks Doily dies.

The inside of the card are pieces of the MME Lost and Found paper pads Sunshine and Breeze.  I used a sentiment from Quietfire on the top of the writing side. I thought it was very appropriate sentiment for myself.

Thank you for browsing my card, Now it is time to eat the chocolate, chocolate frosted cake from my favorite bakery and Diet Coke from McDonalds. MMMM

2 Cards Photographed With A Light Box

I made my own light box out of card board and a sheet. Very primitive, so homemade that I will not show you how it turned out.   Just go on line and look up how to make a photography light box and you will find oodles of demos.  The Big thing for me is it captures the true colors of the paper and coloring I do so I can study my work in order to improve.  I couldn't see before, maybe I shouldn't, but I do want to see where I should improve.
So Here are the two cards in the light box

I cannot believe the true colors are showing on the papers and the Copics I used.

Wild Orchid flowers and PaperTrey Ink tiny tags
I made charms to hang from the flowers and then cut and tucked the No 22247 Sweet out of the paper to slide my image in, instant embellishment.

The Second Card

I glitter glued around the scallops and the Birthday Wishes.
 Tilda is so vibrant now

The ribbons are in rivots  to make a book type opening

Thank you girls for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed the cards.
Have a great weekend,  Kelly

Tilda is Fishing For a Birthday

Although I do not fish or would I consider fishing, I love this stamp and Fishing Edwin.  I have a special person whose birthday is coming up and she loves to fish with her father.  This card is just for her.

I used Crate Paper's Little Sprout Collection as my DP on Tangerine from StampinUp.  My swirls are from Sizzix and the butterflies are Martha Stewart Punch.  The green leafy border die is from Papertrey Ink and also made the multi-colored paper flower below.  I used Copics to color with and distressed the edges and rubbed River Rock ink across the white circle.

My masking is getting better but it takes me a few tries to get it right.
I am working with a new camera and this is not as sharp as I wish but the yellow rolled flowers are felt from Papertrey Ink as well as the multi-colored green to the right of them.  The multi-colored one is the same Crate Paper cut with a die from Papertrey Ink and then rolled into this flower, it is way better in person.

The sentiment is from Quietfire  "The only true gift is a portion of yourself."  Lizzy is always giving herself to us and we love her.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I am off to the county fair where one of my son's is showing a Llama for 4-H competition today.

Tilda in Her Butterfly Dress

Finally I was able to make 1 card.  After baby Lyla came, my other daughter-in-law came from NC to live with us until my son comes back from deployment.  SOOOOO she is living in my craft room and I had to find another space to use for some months.

My daughter graduated from our homeschool and started to pursue further education as a Paramedic and we decided she deserved a graduation party SOOOO that took a ton of my time but it was so worth it.  I did have to finish her scrap books so there was a creative up side to this.

I am showcasing my newly created card and some of the my daughters scrapbook pages of her graduation pictures that I did for her (us).  Enjoy.

OK so I tried to line these up properly and because I am deficit on computer skills this is what I got. Sorry about the mess of photos.  Hopefully you get the highlights of them.

Have a warm, sun shining day!
