Tilda With A Blue Blanket

Fast and Quick, we are going out of town and I just had to make a card (addicted)
I wanted to use this sweet Tilda, she is darling and my Pion papers too.
After I made this card, I had to send it out to a friend.

I used Pion Papers and Tilda is colored in Distressed Inks Bundled Sage, Tattered Rose, and Pumice Stone.  For the skin and cheeks I used Tea Dye, Vintage Photo and Fired Brick.
I used a tiny bit of ribbon and pearl to finish the left a bit.

The flowers are from WIC and IAMROSES.  The sentiment is new from Whimsy Stamps and the die are called Vintage Birthday Tab 1.

Down the side I put Webster's Pages Sparklers. I used a Spellbinder's oval die for Tilda.

The inside is a sentiment from Papertrey Ink and the other side is a Pion Postcard that came with the paper pack.  Then I punched out a little chick and put it in the lower corner.

I am using this card for the following challenges
Simply Magnolia--Dies, Punches and Ribbons
Magnolia-licious Challenge

Thank you for stopping in and your comments are greatly appreciated.

AUCTION BASKET

Here are the Auction baskets that I made for the benefit.
I had so much fun making these cards and putting it all together.
HERE ARE THE BASKETS

ON THE BACK I HAVE MY TAG WITH MY INFORMATION ON IT

ON THE FRONT IS A BIG TAG DESCRIBING WHAT THEY ARE BIDDING ON.

I MADE THE RIBBON AND TWISTED FLOWER WITH FABRIC FROM STAMPINUP.
I SECURED IT TO THE TOP AND THEN HUNG THE DESCRIPTION CARD AROUND IT.

I KNOW IT IS GLARING BUT THERE IS HARD TO FIND GOOD LIGHTING WITHOUT THE GLARE OF THE CELLOPHANE BAG.  I TRIED TO SHOW CASE THE INSIDE OF ONE CARD AND A EASEL CARD TO SHOW VARIETY.

MORE INSIDE PHOTO'S OF MY PRETTY MAGGIES, LOTV AND MO.

I AM SO HAPPY THAT I COULD HELP SOMEONE OUT WITH MY CARDS. NEXT WEEK THURSDAY IS THE AUCTION SO I WILL BE ANXIOUS TO HEAR IF PEOPLE LIKED THEM.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR SUPPORTING COMMENTS!  I REALLY APPRECIATE YOU ALL!

Tilda Catching Stars

2 more cards to add to the basket for the Auction.  I am done with Magnolia's and now I will be doing some simple floral and ribbon cards to finish off the baskets. I have enough cards for 2 baskets and I will post them after they are filled.  The two cards here are the new Tilda Catching Stars stamp colored in Distressed Inks.
This card is made with Pion Papers and pleated cardboard and then painted with picket fence from Tim Holtz.  The die cut to the right is from Whimsy Stamps and I just used half of it.  It is very soft and a complete contrast from the one below.
Strangely, I have uploaded the inside of this card twice but it doesn't stay on this post? Sorry about that, it has the PION paper from the front of this card and also I stamped the Vintage Postcard on it.  I used it in a previous post.

Below I used scrap paper from my big paper bin. I decorated a Magnolia tag with Birthday sentiments on both sides and liquid pearls.  The flowers are Magnolia Doohickeys and the center is a rolled rose die.

A closer look at the flowers, I put a green crystal in the middle for some bling.

The inside of the card I embellished with more doohickey's and Papertrey Ink die butterfly in felt.

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my cards. Enjoy your day!

Tilda Sending Love Letters

I did 2 Magnolia cards for the auction using Tilda Sending Love Letters and Sweet Crazy Love DP from Magnolia.  The Magnolia stamps are truly my favorite ones to work with!
She is colored in Concord Crush and Spun Sugar Distressed Inks. I Stickled her flower and hearts and Liquid Pearls are dotted around her on the watercolored background.
The teapot and butterfly are dies from Papertrey Ink. I used a bit of Burlap under the butterfly.
My flowers are from IAMROSES, Wild Orchid and the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps.
Inside the card I used Spellbinders Ironworks corners and a Webster's Pages card.
This is the card I love, unfortunately it is too big for my envelopes. Maybe it can just sit in the basket without a envelope?
I used Whimsy Stamps, Vintage Postcard and Postage Stamp to the left of Tilda, I really like their stamps for accenting my Maggies with.
She is colored in Distressed Inks Black Soot and Victorian Velvet and I Stickled her Peony and Hearts.
I dotted liquid pearl around the Spellbinders die and the bottom of the card.
There is a Melissa Frances tag that matched perfectly to the right and the flowers are from different places.
Here is a closeup of the Whimsy Stamps, don't they go great with Tilda. The inside is plain but the paper is so pretty from Magnolia, I just hated to cover it up.
Thanks again for giving me your opinions, I enjoy your visits.
Have a great weekend,
Kelly

Weddings and Baby Girls

My next category to include in the Auction basket are the baby girl cards and Wedding cards.
I have been finding some nice scrap pieces in my bin of DP and they are working out perfectly on the baby cards.  Some of my papers are years old but they must like where I store them as they are still in perfect condition.
The above Wedding card is the only one made with new Prima Papers and I bought the complete set! I used the tags and the journaling cards on the bottom of this easel card.  Also, I have Websters sparklers in the corners and a feather in the top right, although the photo barely shows it. My roses are from IAMROSES.
Mo Manning digital fairy is so cute and fun to change her colors. My son who was recently visiting us was critiquing me on my coloring of her dress and did the one below. He did well for never using Copics. I will always remember those fun moments with him and I, he is a duplicate of myself only in the male version of course. I sure miss him but his contract in the Marine Corp doesn't end for another 10 months. I hope he and his wife will be hanging around here again soon.

This is another wedding card with a tag to write your sentiment to the couple. I made a pocket and sewed around everything. I aged it with Tea Dye Distress Ink and tried to make it vintage and shabby looking.
Thank you for leaving me very sweet comments.  It helps to know what people think of my cards for the auction basket.  I want them to get the most for them possible.  Making the cards for him and his family sure gives me joy too.
Have a great weekend.

Baby, It Has Been A While!

Finally, A Card or should I says 'cards' have been completed.
I am working on a basket for a benefit in a few weeks.  They are auctioning off things to help a man who at a very young age had a stroke that drastically changed his life.  I hope someone finds my cards pleasing so that they bid on them.

I have been coloring a lot because I am out of practice and so the first ones here I really struggled with for creativity, my suggestion is to not take a month off of crafting!
Distressed Inks are used on the first two cards.
I need to practice more with getting my folds and puffs accented correctly.
This is a LOTV stamp colored in copies very simply done.
This baby card was the easiest ever. I found the paper in my scrap pile just as it is shown here and added a flower, heart, butterfly and a ribbon and it is done.
Now I need to work on baby girl cards and then some new maggies!!  So excited to use some of the new ones, they are so precious.
I am glad to hear from you and love it when we visit each other's blogs.
Happy creating.

I have been busy lately and my crafty brain is dying to get all the ideas out on paper.  I am enjoying my son and his wife during their visit so hopefully soon I will have more cards to show you.  I have been enjoying everyone's creations during my moments of peace, you girls are so awesome.
                Enjoy, Kelly
