Live Gratitude, Love, Grace Canvas

Well I had a very awesome weekend!  I met Christina Carstensen in person, she came to MN for the weekend to visit her daughter and they both came to visit me on Saturday.  We had a great time craft shopping, talking, laughing and Christina tried her first Mexican food.

My very shy 5 year old loved her, it did not take him long to warm up to Christina and Michelle, her daughter. We exchange some crafty gifts with each other, I received one of her famous chocolate bars that she puts in her cards. Inside the book card she gave to me were lovely laces and embellishments.  Her coloring is gorgeous, so pretty and shaded perfectly.  Christina is beautiful, youthful and a delight, I hope we have more of these visits.

Today was a beautiful sunny fall day and we had a great sermon in Church this morning.  It inspired me to make this canvas.

I used alot of moulding paste for textures on here.  The paints I used are from Golden acrylic paints, Pitt brush pens from Fabercastell.  Before I started I tore 2 pieces of Tim Holtz Ideaology tissue wrap from a nicely boxed roll I received from Christina.  I modge podged it on the canvas and then spread layers of moulding paste over the whole canvas.  You can see the tissue in parts of the canvas.

The rose was made from a mask from My Favorite Things

I wanted to show tags but not in the traditional way, I painted them in and painted the ribbons and then added sticker letters.  I applied the rose mask with moulding paste and then used Golden paints to color them.

I want to live my life with Gratitude, love and grace,  but you know sometimes it is hard! lol We all fall short but I will keep striving probably forever! lol   I do see these attributes in Christina and Michelle and they live their life with such positivity and joy.

Thank you for visiting me today, wish you and your families well!

Kelly
