Snowflake Fairy by Charmaine Flannery

Welcome to my blog, so happy you are visiting me today!

7 Kids College Fund Store is carrying a new artist from Sweet Pea stamps, Charmaine Flannery.  I like her stamps and the paintings she does are amazing.  I happened to win one of her paintings from  her Ebay store so of course I was very happy to see the 7 Kids store carry her stamps!

Here is my card using Snowflake Fairy by Charmaine Flannery.

I went through many sheets of paper to get her colored as best as I could.  I used Copics and some glitter for sparkle.  The top and right edge is Shabby White Frantage. I used some metal corners, key and butterfly to make it more edgy like the artist is.  My papers are Moulin Rouge by Prima.

My flowers are from Wild Orchid Craft and they are Frantaged in Shabby White, Aged Wine, and Aged Aqua.  I glued them onto a Magnolia Doohickey flower die made from the paper.

The top of my card I inserted a brown paper bag and dabbed it with Distressed Stains, Aged Mahogany, Bundled Sage, and Tumbled Glass. This is the first time using them and of course most of it is covered up. I really enjoyed the effects they made on the paper bag. After it dried I added a bit of Wine Frantage.  The tag is a Magnolia Doohickey die and I also Frantaged that in Aged Wine after stamping in Versamark Ink.

Here are some views of the other flowers with frantage on them.

I frantaged all around the edges with Aged Wine and used a La La Land heart doily die along the side.

Another look at Snowflake Fairy

She was fun to color after I got the hang of her even though I had to  push myself out of my comfort zone.  I will have to do more of her.  7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog has a ANYTHING GOES challenge running and you can win a gift certificate to the 7 Kids College Fund Store by using a image currently available in the store.  More Shopping!!  Did you know that 7 Kids has a Pinterest board!!  Their store board is here and the Top 3 Winners board is here.  Go check them out!

On a personal note, my home is back to normal and now we are doing some sprucing up while it is so cold and snowy here. I have a nice sized honey do list for my husband!! lol
Thank you for being here and taking the time to leave me your comments, I truly appreciate it!

Have a wonderful week!

SHH Now by Crafts and Me

This weekend we moved my daughter into a fresh new apartment, slept a lot and then watched the Super Bowl until I had a card idea.  My daughter's boyfriend always says "shh, I have a secret" my daughter says "what" he says "I love you!"  I love that about him.  So I looked at my stamp Shh Now from Crafts and Me and it fit my daughter and boyfriend perfectly for a Valentine Card.

You can barely see the paper from Authentique "smitten" in the background with all the doily and flowers I have. Never too much bling.

A close up of my florals, pin, Heidi Swap heart and Sheri Baldys heart die.

The pearls are from Prima. Magnolia doohickey heart and banner die. I wrote the "Shh, I have a secret" on the banner, wished my handwriting was better.

Inside of the card with Authentique papers and Magnolia doohickey tag.

Shh Now is colored in Copics and fussy cut. I used a flat gray paper to fill in.

My camera had a hard time with the bold red and black, kept washing out the color.

As for this week we are packing our son, wife and their 2 dogs, they leave on Wednesday, then I will be sad!  They are going to Florida where it is warm and sunny. Only 3 kids at home now!
Thank you for stopping by today,
Kelly

On the base is a cute card from the Graphic 45 paper along with Tim Holz Muse Tokens, pearls and ribbon from my stash.  Along the edges I used a Magnolia Doohickey lace border die.

Waterlily Tilda For 7 Kids College Fund

Happy Saturday to you!!
I am still working on my accounting for our company and in 3 weeks all the adults kids will be departing to their own places.  Did you hear a squeal?  Sshhh don't tell the kids!  I am managing to keep up with my DT work for now and things are about to improve shortly!!  I have so many ideas in my head that need to come out in some artistic form.  I feel like I am in crafting withdrawl! lol

Here is a card I made for 7 Kids College Fund Store using Waterlily Tilda by Magnolia.

She is colored in distressed Inks.  I used a Joy die 6002/0304 to frame her and then added a string of pearls with Glossy Accents.  My papers are from Kaisercraft "Violet Crush"

Here is a wooden frame from the Prima Optimist collection that I Frantaged with Shabby White embossing enamel. I used Little Darlings "use your words" letter stamps to spell out MOM and glued them onto the lace with Glossy Accents.

I put in a pocket envelope on the side for a message and embellished it with Doodlebug pearls.  This side of the card is embellished with Memory box "Whimsical Flourish" and "Vivienne Butterflies" along with Joy "Butterfly Edge" die and a floral arrangement.

Here is a close up of the Vivienne Butterfly die cut from Memory Box, I really love this one and I used the Kaisercraft papers for it.

Here is the tag I made using a part of the paper pad from Kaisercraft.  I embellished it with Doodlebug pearls and seam binding ribbon.

The inside is all from the Kaisercraft paper pad and 2 butterflies from the Memory box die Vivienne Butterfly.

Here is a different view

Relax And Let It Flow Out

Today I just wanted to share a card that I made while relaxing in between moments of chaos. lol  I had this card laying on my desk this morning and my daughter came in and asked "can this be framed"?  I figured she wanted it for her new apartment that she will be moving into in 1 week, (that means 2 less adults in my house).  I was very pleased that she wanted my artwork on her walls since she is a adult and her taste is different than mine!  I will get a shadow box for it and use Maja papers for the background and then bring it over AFTER she is done unloading her boxes!

I used Maja "Vintage Summer Basics for my papers and the post card.  I love this set so much.  I wanted to create something that I did not have to think or perform, you know just let it happen.  I used a card from Pion design of a vintage lady and then let my mind flow.

My flowers, feathers and beads are on top of the Magnolia Peony die.

Here is a closer look of one of the post cards in the back of this paper pack, I made everything with distressed edges, sometimes a bit too much.

Here is the Pion image I used and some gorgeous lace, makes a easy card if the image is already done.

I was given 2 of these sweet Cherubs by a friend and my daughter asked if my last one could go onto her card base. I let her have it because I will see it again. This is therapy for my hoarding problem, letting crafty items go. lol

I had just purchased the Prima chipboard and I loved this You & Me word so I Frantaged it with Shabby Pink and let it heat up and melt longer than usual.  I watched the Frantage move around the chipboard until I was happy with it, it looks lined.

Thank you for stopping by my blog as your comments make me smile.  Stay warm and healthy!!
Hugs Kelly

All Dressed Up Blog Hop

Our first All Dressed Up challenge & release of 2014 is here...and what a fantastic release it is.

Both our teams have joined together for this Challenge/Release, and we are also having a blog hop !

We have four newly released images this month, all of which can be found over on the store
Our theme for the the challenge is "Anything Goes". A nice and easy theme to start the new year with.
Here is the image I chose to use for the blog hop.

I made a 8x8 canvas with it

First I colored my image from the store in Copics and then glued it to the canvas. The sun rays and mountains of snow I made by mixing Golden moulding paste with paint.  The sun rays is a stencil from Tim Holtz called "Rays".

This canvas was very simple to create and fun too.

The challenge will run until February 15th and the winner will receive 3 images of their choice from the store
Please make sure you stop by the blog to check out the rest of the talented Dressy Girls creations.

Now as I said earlier we are also having a blog hop for this challenge, two lucky winners will receive 2 images of their choice from the store, in order to be in with a chance of winning you have to visit every blog on the hop list and leave a comment by the date shown below. Two winners will be picked at Random by two of the Dressy Girls on Wednesday 22nd January . We know we have quite a few Dressy girls, so we have spread the hop over a week to give you all plenty of time to hop along.

If you have been following the hop list you have arrived here from Jennifer
Here is the hopping list so you don't get lost along the way.
Good luck on the hop and make sure you check out the blog for the winners & all the challenge details.
