Apron Card with Bookmark

I love pink and that lead to finding some more challenges to enter.  Well I figured I should lok for something else to make other than a square so I found this apron template here at Stampington.com
Cute but I wanted more from the apron and then I needed to tie in the challenges so here is my
Apron card with a Bookmark

The bookmark is hiding on the top, my paper is Paris Girl from Carta Bella.  Tilda and the cupcakes are colored in Copics and a dab of stickles adorn them.  I used liquid pearl around the sentiment.  The bottom is a fusia, (not red) ribbon rose.

Here is the bookmark and it fits into the top of the apron.

Here is the card without the bookmark open, I made my own apron template but I was inspired by Stampington.com templates.

Here is the inside of the card open for writing a message.

I am showing you how the bookmark slides into the top and what it looks like inside the card.

Here is the bookmark, receipe book maybe?

Here is the bookmark coming out of the top but you can see both of the cupcakes, mmmmm.

I would like to enter the following challenges

Thank you for popping in and checking out my new creation!
Have a great weekend, I am going to try and stay out of my craft room this weekend for my family! Augh. I hope I can do it. LOL

Tilda With Ugg Shoes

The new Australian Maggies are adorable, here is Tilda with Ugg Shoes, my favorite boots.
It is hard to think about wearing Uggs right now in MN as it is hot and muggy.  My grandson is here for a few days while he occupies my youngest, I am catching up on bookkeeping.  I still cannot figure out why bills can't go on vacation when I am, they just keep on coming. LOL
So rather than pay bills I wanted to enter a challenge at Magnolia-licious.  Here is the entry.

Glitz 6x6 papers in French Kiss fit well with the photo inspiration and then I colored Tilda in Distressed Inks.  She will be my next favorite, I can love how she looks.  I used Spellbinder's oval dies to frame her and Prima with WOC flower buds.  Stampinup sizzlit butterfly with pearls are flying around her.
The top set of butterflies are a die from Tim Holtz.  I am using more lace from my MIL. I have a ton of different kinds, they are so pretty in my bins.

In South Dakota I never saw a bug, too dry I suppose but then we hit the MN border, our windshield was dotted in bugs.  Last night I wanted to go outside to see the animals and swarms of bugs everywhere!  Yuk, I kept my head down and here lying on the ground are all these gorgeous feathers. Our ducks and chickens are molting and leaving behind their colorful feathers.  I washed them and put one on this card with a Prima burlap bloom and egg nest.

The inside of the card shows off the floral Glitz paper better and I added more butterflies.

Thanks again for the very sweet comments you leave me, I love to hear your opinions.
Have a great night.

Christmas Bear Love

I am using a new Magnolia stamp from my winnings at Tilda's Town, Christmas Bear.
I love my bear, he can be used in different ways and his face is so sweet.  I had to pair him with Scrap Cake 6x6 papers, they are so pretty too.

I colored him in Copics and then used Chunky glitter around him and on the hearts.  A Spellbinder die surrounds him with green gems.  In the corner the Magnolia flower pulled the colors together.

The hearts are Magnolia die cuts and there are 4 although hard to see with all the glitter.  I adorned them with clippings from the Scrapcake paper pad 'My Private Happiness' by Karola Witczak.  I love her papers and scrap book pages she creates.

So the inside is from the same paper pack but does not have the same theme as the front of the card.  I just love papers and chose these instead, they go better with the green base of my card and the sentiments that I cut from are on the left.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:

Thank you for stopping by today!

A Little Vacation Time

Just a quick update for my followers, My Art Crawl was very fun and people enjoyed my cards.  The crowd wasn't as big as everyone thought it would be and I didn't sell as many cards as I wished for.  It was a great experience for me and Kathy the store's owner was so accommodating and so nice to be around all day so I enjoyed the day very much.

I ended up hurting my back, but not that big of a deal, I could not finish the card I wanted to make before we hit the open road tomorrow.  Our family is road tripping for 6 days to have some fun.  I will get that card finished when I return and visit you all when I can.
Have a great week ahead!

Harvest Day

My 15 year old son got his drivers permit and then at our local fair won grand champion on his white rabbit above.  Hi other rabbit a English Angora is supposed to come from champion lines but a few weeks before her cage was tipped over in a storm and her fur is all matted with sticks and leaves.   We  just couldn't get her to look nice enough but he did get ribbons for her.

My sister-in-law made this gorgeous card for me and brought me a chocolate oreo torte cake, mmmmm. So I picked plums from our tree and saw how pretty they look with my birthday card.

My Husband planted various apple trees, plum and pear trees in our yard and finally they are producing gorgeous fruits.  Here is a apple, don't ask me what kind, I cook and eat and that is all I know. LOL

Very full Apple tree

He grew the best and sweetest corn ever, you do not even want to cook it, just pick, eat and it tastes like candy.  Amazing corn.  Tom filled the back of the old pickup and shucked it, and gave the animals all the husks.  The cows especially love them.

See I eat and cook, my husband said you hold them and pretend you know what you are doing. I love his humor! I just got my hair cut and highlighted more blond and the sun is my eyes.  I try to help him by keeping him company while he is picking or weeding his garden, I bring him lemonade or bug spray. LOL  He visits me in my craft room and this is his craft.

I thought the sunflowers looked interesting as they are huge and producing seeds.

Up close look at the middle of the sunflower.

See the bees on the right, doesn't the center have a pretty shape.

My 4 year old is eating the plums I am picking off the tree.

We have 8 of these huge cabbages.

This is the not so fun part, cutting all the corn off the cob for freezing.  My sons 17, 15 and hubby in the background.

My other son 12 on the right is taller than his older brothers! They all sat around the table and cut for 2 hours or better.

So here is my part, mixing the recipe and putting the corn into freezer bags and freeze them, 80 bags each with 6 cups of corn in them.  We make alot of stuff with this corn.

recipe for freezing corn

2 Tablespoons Pickling salt
5 Cups of ice water
15 cups of corn
mix and put into freezer bags, then immediately put them into the freezer in single layers.
It is so easy and this recipe has never failed me.
I hope you enjoyed my photos today, it is nap time!

Tilda With A Gift For You

I have a shared weekend birthday with a very young friend of mine, she is just 18 and is going away to college.  My daughter and her are friends and I adopted her as a daughter a few years back. Lizzy helped me into blog land and set me up and fixes things when I mess them up.  I am seeing her later today and wanted to give her this birthday card, made especially for her.

My Kraft paper is from MME Funday by Robyn Meierette.  It is a 6x6 pad that I used for my base, tag and base under Tilda.  I inked the edges with black and craft white from SU. First I made a Spellbinders Romantic rectangle in cream and then embossed it with Papertrey Inks' wood background. Over that is a tag from Prima's Songbird Collection.  Then I did a Magnolia tag in kraft with a yellow gingham doily die from Papertrey Ink behind the Magnolia tag.  Then went Tilda after sewing her  onto kraft paper.

The Birthday Wishes sentiment is Papertrey Ink stamped onto Maya Roads ticket. Tilda with a Gift for you is colored in Distressed Ink Markers.  This is new for me, I like some of them but some of the colors are a bit different from the ink bottles.  I used Mustard Seed and Vintage photo together and then Dried Marigold and Pumic Stone together.  Her hair is Walnut, shoes Pumice Stone and skin Tea Dye.

I put a bag inside for a pocket full of birthday wishes for Lizzy to read, while she is gone, she can remember how we feel about her!  The real card does not have a dot on Tilda's face, for some reason she does on photos.

The complete inside, and my computer enhanced it too yellow, sorry about that, it is kraft color.

Just wanted to try this card outside on my porch in different light to get the true colors.

I would like to enter the following Challenges

Please remember my birthday candy ends tonight!! I will announce the lucky winner tomorrow!
Have a great day!

Vintage Jam

I adore Vintage and Shabby so when I saw Theresa Collins new papers Vintage Finds,  100 card ideas began floating through my mind,  "I just gotta have it all!"
Here is the newest creation using Theresa Collins DP and embellishments to highlight Magnolia's Tilda with Lovely Jam.

Here are the doohickeys mixed with Papertrey dies to create the flower here.  I attached a lace ribbon bow from SU and a hangar from Maya Roads, so cute.  The buttons on the card are all from Theresa Collins collection Vintage finds.

I colored Tilda in Distressed Inks Aged Mahagony and Pumice Stone.  She has a soft tone that blended perfectly with the Vintage Find papers.

You can see the layers of papers and how I distressed them and then edged them with Distressed Ink Tea Dye and SU Sahara Sand. I wanted it very tattered.

For the inside of the card I used more Magnolia doohickey's and Papertrey die flowers with the Bingo card from the Vintage Find collection.  I added some black lace from Joannes and peeking from under the lace is another design from the Theresa Collins paper.

Inside right is where you can write your message and I adorned the paper with a 3/4 doohickey.

I would like to enter this card in the following challenge.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge- Let's Play Bingo  I chose down [ribbon, die cuts, buttons]
Midweek Magnolias Blog Challenge Week 23-Use 2 Dies or Punches I used Magnolia Doohickey and Papertrey Ink Floral die cuts.

Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a great rest of your week.
Thanks!   Kelly

Totally Tilda Design Team Card

I am so excited about the DT call as I love Tilda and I do want to be on this team.  I made this card just for the Totally Tilda Design Team Call and enjoyed every minute of it!
Here she is

Summer Flower Tilda is colored in Copics and enhance by a Spellbinders Lacey Oval with gorgeous florals.  The florals are from WOC, Melissa Frances and Prima and I die cut the leaves.  A Prima butterfly is in the corner with feathers from my chickens, they drop them and I wash them.

A side look at the embellishments like the doilies, pearls, rose button, a few crystals and the two different Spellbinder dies.

Here is the photo that the Totally Tilda Design Team gave us to use as inspiration

Here is my entry to the Totally Tilda Design Team Call
