Sweet Pea Stamps at 7 Kids College Fund

Hello everyone! Happy that you stopped in and visited my blog today.  It is a very hot and humid week here at my place, I just stay inside the air conditioning! I am a whimp in humidity. lol
I have 2 Design Team posts on the same day, so sad as it is hard to showcase each item.  The other one is Divas by Design and you may enjoy the canvas I made for the challenge.

Today is the start of a new challenge over at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog
Anything goes with a twist of Marker

Our design team is featuring images from Sweet Pea Stamps.  I hope you get a chance to pop over to the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog and see what the other design team girls made.  You will love them!!

For my featured card I used Bird of Paradise by Sweet Pea Stamps

After coloring her in many different ways I decided this is the one I will show you.  I ran out of paper  by practicing lol.  For my papers I used the 12x12 pad Sunny Day Collection from Heartfelt Creations. I decided on a shaped card and alot of embellishing.

My sentiment is from Whimsy and so is the matching die.

Magnolia doohickey die Dragonflies, Cloudy Tag and Memory box Elegant Scrollwork die are tucked in the left side and top of the card.

You can see the dies better here and the WOC roses and Godt and Kort flowers.

Here is the dimensional angle.

The Copic Sketch markers I used

Here is another version I colored of the Bird of Paradise Sweet Pea stamp.  She is colored in Copics and Mod Podged over.  I doodled her hair and added some frantage to the image.

I hope you enjoyed my card.  Our design team really out did themselves with this collection of stamps so I urge you to go check them out at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.

Please join us in the challenge for your chance to win some spending money!!
Thank  you for visiting me today, it is always a joy to read your comments.

Lovely Lace for Divas By Design

Welcome to my blog today!!!

In Minnesota summer is about over and the cool fall weather will bring us beautifully colored trees and plants in golds, rust, deep wine.  The only thing I love about saying goodbye to summer is the gorgeous falls we have here, and no bugs to annoy us!

Our new Challenge at Divas by Design is LACE on your creation.
Please join us this week at Divas By Design
Our fabulous sponsor is live and love crafts I know you will want to win their prize!

Here is my canvas I made for the challenge

The canvas is covered in lace using gesso and then I ink blotted it with alcohol inks, then Frantaged it with Stampendous aged ivory.  Then I rubbed distressed inks all over the Frantage. Experimenting!

My husbands Uncle passed away and while cleaning out some of his treasures I found vintage jewelry, so in the corner is a piece from his past.

I love it when my friend Sandy calls me 'Sugar" when we talk. I found this charm at Micheals and it fits perfectly.

My products are from Melissa Frances and Prima. The flowers are from WOC, I am Roses and Godt and Kort. One doohickey die and heart ribbon from Websters Pages

Here is a close up of the canvas with lace and frantage.

Dimensional view.  I plan on keeping this one for myself, I know I am selfish! lol

I mixed acrylic paint with a thinner and painted the flower. Then I sprinkled on Stampendous Fragments in shabby pink to give the big flowers a shabby chic feel.

So glad you stopped by to visit with me today. I adore your comments and thank you for taking the time to leave one!!

I encourage you to join us at Divas By Design Challenge Blog with your lace creation this week.
See you there!!

Hugs and good luck,
Kelly

Simply Gorjuss Ruby

Good Morning to you!!  The weekend is almost here and that means more crafting time!!!
Or sadly house organizing for me.  2 of my adult kids have moved out recently so I have 2 rooms to finish cleaning and painting.  I know a younger brother who would love one of those bigger rooms.  So that is what I will be doing.  It will feel good in the end.

My card for 7 Kids College Fund Store is Ruby from Simply Gorjuss
I colored her in Copics similar to her original photo on the carton.

I used the Spellbinders label 8 to frame her and used a dimensional glue dot to pop up the kitties

The embellishing is from the paper pack. I made the flowers with Tim Holtz Tattered Flowers die and my brads.  You can see the 3 ribbons that I ran vertically on the right side, they are from this same set from Simply Gorjuss.

The inside are coordinating papers from the Simply Gorjuss paper pad and they already had Ruby on it. I used the Spellbinders Label 8 and 28 for framing and the tag. The white bag is from Canvas Corp.  I used Lala Land dies for the tabs.

Here are the Copics I used on this card.

I hope you liked my card and visit our Store if you would like to purchase any of the items listed below.

7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog has a challenge going on anything goes with a twist of vintage.
You can win a $20.00 gift certificate to the 7 Kids College Fund Store!

I wish you all a very nice and fun weekend, enjoy the summer weather while it is still here!!

Rose Scent Tilda

Hi girls!  hope your day is going well!!
I made a box with my favorite papers from Graphic 45, French Country and Magnolia's Rose Scented Tilda

I made her for a online magazine Through the Craftroom Door which I highly recommend subscribing to.  You can also make a creation for a future issue and they have a challenge blog!!

Tilda is colored in Copics and a Spellbinders butterfly die is behind her.  I used 3 die cuts to layer the butterfly so it looks 3D.  I only had to use on sheet of paper from French Country for my box.  The flowers are from WOC and Prima.  The feather is from my chicken on my tiny little farm.

The side of the box I cut a heart using a Papertrey Ink die and the coordinating stamp.

Thank you for visiting with me today!!  Have a wonderful crafty day!

Vintage Bonny Tilda for 7 Kids College Fund

Hello again!  I supposed you noticed that there are 2 posts now every other Wednesday due to my Design Teams.  It is hard to keep up but I appreciate your visits.

We have a new Challenge this week at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog my favorite theme

Anything Goes with a twist of Vintage!!  I sure hope you join us and enter our challenge!

Here is the card I made for the Challenge
I just let my mind go on this one.

This is one of my favorite cards that I have made!  The papers are from Riddersholm, so soft.  I colored Bonny Tilda, Flying Heart, and the LOTV tags with Distressed Inks and then Frantaged it all.

The Magnolia doohickey envelope edge gave shape to my square card on the top and side.

You can see the flying heart, bark heart and Memory Box die Precious Hearts with 2 Magnolia Doohickey Envelope Edge dies going across the top.

On the right side is the Memory Box die and LOTV Le Jardin tag that I inked with Distressed inks also.

LOTV Pretty Grungy Good Times sentiment is colored in Distressed Inks and placed on the Envelope Edge die.  These are so easy to color also, so glad I purchased these.

I hope you enjoyed my card and I appreciate your comments, they are always welcomed.
Hop on over to 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog and see what the other DT members did.  If you need a few more things, as we all do, please check out our store at 7 Kids College Fund Store.

Thank you for stopping by today,
Kelly

Christmas at Divas By Design

Hello and Merry Christmas at Divas By Design.
Did you guess what our theme is at this weeks challenge?
We are having a special surprise gift for the lucky winner of this challenge!

Here is my card that I made for Divas By Design challenge

Magnolia Christmas paper all distressed and sewn together. I opened the middle and rolled the edges of the papers to show all 3 patterns.

Here is Christmas Bear from Magnolia colored in Distressed Inks. He has crystals on the white part of his hat.  It is really hard to see, but, there are crystals along the sides of the open rolled edges also.
The zipper rolled flower is from a friend and looks great at the end of the opening.

I used LaLa Lands newest dies Heart Doily Border, poinsettias and snowflakes.  The tall birch tree is from Memory Box Dies.

I adhered crystals and glitter to the poinsettias with some brads. My brads are old and coveted, I am a hoarder of fine things. lol

Both sides of the card has a rolled opened bottom, distressed with inks.  I have a tag with Magnolia minis stamped on and then a Spellbinders die for your note.

The layer view

I hope you enjoyed my card!
Please go to Divas By Design Challenge Blog and see what my team mates made.  They are very creative over there.
I hope to see you enter and win the prize at Divas By Design!

Hugs and crafty wishes,
Kelly

Nellie Snellen from 7 Kids College Fund

Happy Friday to you!!  I made a very cute card with Nellie Snellen called "Dawn with Flowers".  She and many more like her are available at the 7 Kids College Fund Store.

She is colored in Copics and my paper is from the newest MME collection Chalk Studio.

The banner and sweet are from Heidi Swapp. My dies are Marianne and Spellbinders

She is so cute, a bit of sparkle with glitter glue and liquid pearl

The inside I cut banners from the left over papers and a place to write.

Pretty cute and easy to make, I hope I tempted you to visit our store and buy one for your own!
Thank you for visiting me, I enjoy your comments.

Challenge #15 at A Die for a Sketch

It is Monday!! I hope you are having a great start to your week!
Our county fair is this week and I have one son competing with rabbits and a llama.  I will also enjoy the corndogs and cotton candy, mmmm.

♡  ♡  ♡  ♡  ♡  ♡
We have a new challenge this month
Here is the sketch for our challenge
One Rule: use our sketch and a minimum of 1 die

♡  ♡  ♡  ♡  ♡  ♡

Here is the card I made using our sponsor

Walter is adorable!
I immediately knew he would go with Tim Hotz's Idea-ology papers,  Paper Stash.  I layered several of the papers from the 8x8 paper pad.

Walter is colored in copics and then I rubbed distressed ink onto the background for the aged look

There are gears from Tim Holtz and metal buttons from Prima Junkyard Trinkets scattered around

Across the top I put green twine and knotted it

The inside of the card, no it is not red, but rust, all in the camera's mood!

I hope you liked my card, it was fun to make!  Please go to A Die for a Sketch Challenge blog and see what my teammates created.  I hope we inspired you to join our challenge this month as it is great seeing you there!

Have a great day,
Kelly
