A Special Card

Good morning to you all!  It is cool and sunny here in MN with clear blue skies. This card I would like to show you was a request from a relative whose mother passed away recently.. She wanted a Gardenia card next to her mother's photograph and a poem.

Here is 1 of the 2 cards I made for her.

This is the only digi I could find that said or resembled a Gardenia.

It is colored in Copics and Frantaged with Shabby White.  I used 2 Spellbinders dies to mount it on from Gold Labels Four

I put a small doohickey tag on top with a angels wing charm and some butter flies.  My heart ribbon and bottom lace is from Webster's Pages.

Inside is a (light green) envelope from Melissa Frances and a Magnolia heart with a banner.  She can write her thoughts onto this tag inside if she wants.  The poem I got off the internet and is mounted on the Gold Labels Four Spellbinders die.  My papers are from the Sofiero collection Maja Design.

Thank you for stopping by today and sharing your thoughts!

Picked Sweet from 7 Kids College Fund

Can you believe it, the end of summer already!!  I really want the gorgeous weather to continue. Go back to June and start summer over! right! lol

7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog  has a new Challenge up Anything Goes with a twist of Alcohol Markers.

Here is the card I made for the challenge

I used the gorgeous papers from Maja Design Sofiero collection and alot of embellishing! I adore these papers and I have seen them everywhere, I may have to buy a second set of them! lol

I used Prima's zipper pull, Bo Bunny doily, Magnolia doohickey Lace Coaster, WOC flowers and pin, Kaisercraft flowers, Magnolia berries and a ribbon.  Oh so much lush embellishing, loved doing it.  I felt like I was decorating a cake!

I also used Marianne leaves die and a Prima beaded flower.

My Elisabeth Bell image 'Picked Sweet' is colored in Copics and Liquid pearls are dotted onto it.

Close up of the Marianne leaf die as I am using a new camera, not perfect at it yet so my photos are not consistant.  This one is more than a point and shoot so I am wondering how many months it will take me to learn it. lol

I love the Prima zipper pull

Here is the inside showing more of Maja's fabulous papers.  I also used Lala Lands heart banner die and Bo Bunny doilys

I hope you enjoyed my card and are inspired to join us at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog.  Remember it is a Anything Goes and if you need any items I recommend to go shopping at 7 Kids College Fund store where you will find some new CHA releases also.

Thank you for stopping by today and I really appreciate all your comments!

Diva's By Design Challenge Monochromatic

Welcome to my blog today!  I have 2 posts today for separate Design Teams so I hope you can stop back later to see the other card I made.  Thank you for the extra effort!

A new challenge starts today for

Our theme is Monochromatic Color Scheme and our sponsor is

I made a card using the sponsors image Anna Framed

I chose white and I have a warm white mixed with a cool white, I like the contrast. I have 2 Spellbinders die cuts on here and 1 is Frantaged in Shabby White.  The Frantaged die is Enchanted Labels 28 and the background is Gold Labels Four.  On #4 I embossed with TH Brick Embossing folder. You need texture when using whites.

Here is Anna Framed, colored in Copics and Liquid Pearl dotted through her hair.

I used our chicken feathers with Kort and Godt rolled flowers and a Melissa Frances resin lock for embellishment.

The inside sentiment was free from my friend Lisa from You Made Me Ink, you need to check her blog out, this girl is fun!

I hoped you enjoyed my card and are inspired to join us at Divas By Design for our new Monochromatic Challenge.

Have a very wonderful day!

Doo Bee Pops Tilda

I was the lucky winner of Tracy from Crafteezee candy some months ago and most recently Eulanda from Cards and More Cards candy.  I combined some of it together and made this most lovely Magnolia card.  I am so grateful to have won their stash as it was really top notch!  Thank you both from my heart!!!

Doo Bee Pops Tilda is colored in Distressed Inks. I used Spellbinders Gold Labels Four to frame her.  On the top are two Magnolia doohickey Envelope Edges.  I used Frantage in Aged Marine and Aged Aqua on this card.  The gorgeous papers are from Pion Design.

Magnolia doohickey dragonflies with pearls adorn the sides

The top of the card has a bark heart, but when I added more Frantage to this area I melted the bark off, oh well just get out more Frantage and melt that on the heart. The ribbon has a TH ideology link and a copper heart charm.

It has been too long since making my last Magnolia card, I really love these cute images. Thank you for leaving me your sweet comments, I love reading them.

I have been ignoring everything in regards to crafting as I was getting the house set up for a few things happening in our family.  1 is my son is out of the U.S. Marine Corp.  He and his wife and 2 dogs arrive tonight for a 3 month stay with us. They will inhabit the lower level of our house, since 2 of my kids recently moved out.  Only 3 left at home, they grow up so fast!
2. After my son and his wife leave to attend College we are listing our home for sale and hopefully we can relocate to a different State.  This is a long time planning that is finally ready to be done.
My crafting will have to take a lower priority, boohoo but I am not quitting EVER!  lol  I am going to be around visiting and admiring your works!

Wishing you a very happy week!
Hugs, Kelly

Bella Sleeping from Wild Rose Studio's

Hello my friends,  this week I took off to thoroughly clean my home, even the walls and windows!  Goodwill loves me this week too.  My craft room is not done,  it is torn apart so I need to go buy some organizing things for it.  Too much stuff is that even possible!  I told my husband that all I need to do is create cards, canvas and such non stop and I will eventually use it all! lol

Today I want to show you a sweet card that I created for 7 Kids College Fund Store.  They have so many things in the store to buy, maybe that is why I have too much stuff, oh just indulge right!!

Bella Sleeping from Wild Rose Studio's is colored in Copics and the flowers are enhanced by Paper Glaze.  I love how the flowers are glossy and a bit 3D. The butterflies have stickles on them.

I selected a older set of papers and layered them. A bit of inking around the edges for contrast. My ribbon and flower are from Websters Pages. I used La La Land's heart doily for the left side and inked it a bit.

At the bottom I layered my papers and attached a charm.

Here is the dimensional view

After neglecting all my friends this week, I am hoping to catch up with you soon.  Enjoy your weekend and if you need any new supplies go to 7 Kids College Fund Store or you can win a gift certificate to their store by entering into our current challenge here at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge blog.  The current challenge is Anything Goes with a twist of Vintage.

Have a great weekend!!!

Wear With Style

Hello I am back with a new digi from All Dressed Up Shop called Wear With Style.  I got a little mod with the girls, they are so cute and spunky so I played a bit here.

The girls are colored in Copics and I used a Spellbinders Grand Labels 23 to make the card. The bigger rectangle is folded over for the base. On the base I embossed it and distressed the paper to get the lighter pink from it.  I reminds me of a tweed coat.

The sparkly round sequined dots are from Webster's Pages.  My swirls are Elegant Scrollwork from Memory Box.

I used sparkly embellishments from Recollections and rose ribbon from Maya Arts and scalloped ribbon from SU to adorn the bottom of the card.

The top is De Lacie Border from memory box die with some liquid pearls and sparkles on it.  I made my own banner and doodled around the word stickers. Moxie is a strong word but I like the courage part of it, us women are strong!

Here are the girls, sweet and fashionable.

The base of the card opens up for your note

There are many more sweet and fun girls at All Dressed Up Shop to chose from. I just love them!

Have a great Moxie day.

Kay Dance for 7 Kids College Fund

Good Morning to you all!!  Kids are in school and that means CRAFT TIME!

What a great time to join us for a challenge at 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog!  This week begins a new challenge Anything Goes with a twist of Vintage.

Here is the tag I made for the challenge

I started with Corrugated cardboard and Carta Bella paper Giddy Up and cut one end with the Magnolia Doohickey Envelope Edge die.  I painted the corrugated cardboard with white paint. and made a pocket between the cardboard and DP for the tag.
The tag was Frantaged all around the edges with Shabby pink and then the writing was embossed in white.

Kay Dance is from Elisabeth Bell and she is a sweetie!  I colored her in Copics and used a Spellbinders   nestabilities distressed edge die.  I made the flower with Spellbinders flower die.  My embellishments are a bark heart with a feather and then on top is a Junkyard Trinket light bulb.
The Fusia tulle fringe is from Websters Pages.

A closer look at the top using the Magnolia doohickey die Envelope Edge

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I hope you stop by 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog also and view the other DT members creations.

Have a great day

LOTV Vintage Wedding

Good Morning to you ladies!  I hope you have a spectacular day!

Today I have 2 challenges, the other one will post later so I hope you come back to visit, please!

This first one is Divas By Design Challenge Weddings and Anniversaries.
We chose to use Lili of the Valley Images

I decided to make a old vintage looking post card for either a Anniversary or Wedding with my LOTV  image.  The papers are from Teresa Collins 'Far Away" line. The post card was right in the middle of the page just staring at me, all I did was cut and distress.

Here are some Prima embellishments and a crocheted doily to dress it up with.

My friend Lisa always has tutorials and this one fit the mood I wanted to create, I cracked the paper.  I used clear embossing powder and versa mark to emboss 4 times over this image and the round sentiment. After embossing I put it in my freezer for 1 hour and after removing it from the freezer I immediately started to gently crack it. Then I rubbed distressed ink 'Vintage Photo' all around the image to fill in the cracks. Thank you Lisa for doing this on your card recently!!

My image is raised up a bit on dimensional dots from SU and then I glued a row of beads around my Wedding Couple.

Here is the cracked sentiment I made. This is also a LOTV product.  I am loving their new grunge line.

Here is my post card laying flat.  You can leave your own sentiment on the back of this post card and this style can be used at a card, gift tag or mounted on a canvas! lol

Thank you so much for visiting with me today, wish you all a lovely day!
Hugs Kelly
