Summer is over and a cool rainy fall has begun. I missed summer as we spent every moment building and repairing our home. I am so thankful to be living in it but just a few things left to go. Even though I was not able to enjoy the summer like usual I did experience my families love and gifts, we sure learned a lot more about each other as we re-built our home together. Those are special moments that mean something to me. This summer was a great one.
Pion Design is hosting a Summer Memories Challenge and I knew what I wanted to make from the Volume 5 Doohickey Club magazine. On page 12 Monique made a gorgeous box and so I made one similar to hers but changed it up a bit. I love the lush Pion botanical papers and Prima glittered flowers and paired them for this all pink gift box.
Oozing in Pink
I tucked some of the Pion paper tags into the floral on top. I also used several different doohickeys for flowers, leaves and tags. My top and bottom are from a Go-Create die.
Have you ever taken time in solace walking or sitting in the country? I love that and this tag from the Pion paper was so appropriate for me and my family. Nothing like a quiet walk in the woods to soothe the soul.

ReplyDeleteThat's so true. You really did miss Summer since you were rebuilding but now I'm so happy that you have a wonderful home to usher in Fall with your family. Your box is sensational Kelly. It absolutely draws your eyes in and instantly makes you curious what trinkets and goodies and memories it holds. I love how you arranged the Pion pieces and that sentiment is so perfect and true.

Oh Sugar - this box has to be one of the prettiest, if not the prettiest, projects you have ever made. You and Cathy Lynn should open a shop together. You both have a similar style with this sort of thing. So fussy and feminine and so very, very beautiful. Bravo!!
