Sunny Tilda of Sweden

I really like Tilda of Sweden and she intimidated me at first.  I am getting the hang of her and chose primary colors which are bright and cheery.

She is colored in Copics and the DP is Stella Rose.

I made my own kite and used twine around the sentiment and for the tail.  I ruffled the ribbon also.

The inside has rolled twine on each side of the Magnolia Sentiment.

I want to enter the following challenge;

Thank you for taking the time to say hello!

Tilda from Sweden

We have had a weekend of stormy weather so I hope the blue skies are here for a while in MN.  I took some of my photos of the card outside then the wind started to blow it over so I had to take the card inside to finish it's 'photo shoot'.  I think the outdoor lighting was better to capture the true colors of the card.  The card looks better than it does is in person. (LOL)

This card was different for me, it took me for ever to get it designed properly.  The way I thought I wanted it look,  just ended up cluttering the image, so I redid the embellishments to make it more simple and now it enhances the image.

Tilda and the wheelbarrow are colored in Distressed Inks.  I distressed the edge and sewed around it.  I wanted to color the background but I was afraid to ruin this cutie because she actually turned out.  Less is more with this girl.

A closeup of I Am Roses florals, Websters Pages fringe, and a ticket from Pion. The ticket matches the Pion Papers I used for this card.  Below is a better picture of how the fringe looks, it shows the  dimension.

A tiny piece of fringe fell off so I wound it like a flower and glue dotted it to the butterfly on the sentiment from LOTV.

Here is the inside, I let the paper speak, no fussiness. Just being goofy with words today.  Gotta have humor in my life even if I am talking to myself and a computer right now.

Thank you for stopping by my blog tonight, have a peaceful week ahead.

Apple Tilda

So funny, I just purchased this paper pad Authentique-Carefree and knew I wanted to use Apple Tilda and create a card.  All week I was working on her to perfect my coloring as the reds run on me (you will see it). Then I saw a challenge from Tomic about Fruit and then last night I saw another one from Just Magnolia for Gingham.   I think it is funny that I have been working on a card that happened to have some coordinating challenges this time.

I am trying to adjust the new camera and I took these photo's and I did not photoshop them.  I think I found the correct adjustments for my cards, only if no one else fusses with my camera (I have 5 curious kids at home)

Here is the Pocket and I put a Magnolia Doohickey tag and sentiment in it.  The edge of the pocket I punched with a Martha Stewart punch.  I made my flower and all this is from the 1 paper pack from Authentique.

Here is a closeup of my Copic coloring. I distressed her and edged with Distressed inks.  There is a piece of the Magnolia Doohickey fence showing. Also I have Memory Box dies swirling around here and there on the card.

So before I got inside pictures, the camera battery went dead, just the way it goes. LOL
I want to enter the following Challenges

Thank you for your kind comments, I really enjoy reading them. I have been busy with my parents the past few weeks and they are getting better.  Thank you all  your Prayers and kind wishes!!

Prima Almanac Romance

Here is a card inspired by the paper from Prima called Almanac.
I just love the script, romantic swirls and butterflies.

I used a tile, and burlap flower from Prima also.  The wooden butterfly is from Pink Paislee and the two tags are Tim Holtz, I distressed them a bit.

On the inside I just let the paper speak.
Blessings,

Masking Summer Flower Tilda

Just inked up Summer Flower Tilda and masked her with the cobblestone walkway.
I have been accepted into our Art Crawl for August!!!
I will be represented by a store called ACCENTS in our downtown area.  I will be able to sell my cards that evening and the next day.  The owner of the store is very sweet and eager to hep me out.  I am very grateful to her for giving me a chance.

She is colored in distressed inks and I put her on gauze to soften her.  I used a memory die and sizzix die to swirl around her.  I used the new Magnolia papers also, they are so gorgeous!

The tags are a stamp from MME and the sentiments are from Papertrey Ink

The inside is the Magnolia doohickey fence, memory die and paper trey ink stamp.  The 3D kite is from MME. and I used the Magnolia papers inside too.

Three Wedding Cards

I decided to make a box for my first Wedding card I made as it was too thick to fit into a envelope and they are hand delivering the card.  I really like how it turned out.

Here is the inside of the box showcasing the Wedding Card.

This is a vintage looking Wedding Card I made with distressed inks and then aged it.

The inside is a Vintage photo from Pion Papers, I thought it was adorable.

Here is another card that is elegant and made with the Yellow Bicycle papers Swoon and Wedding March.

I colored the LOTV images with Copics and added stickles.

The backside of the card is a envelope I created to add sentiments and Wedding wishes for the happy couple.  Those were made with Pion Papers post cards.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope your day is sunny and bright!

A Wedding Card for Cindy

I have a request to make a Wedding Card so I used LOTV Wedding Couple.  They are adorable, I was asked to use pink and cream and then a military theme.  The groom is from West Point and this wedding is pretty special to Cindy so I will make several cards for her to choose from.

The beautiful Pion Papers really make this card so elegant. I made a pocket in the front for a place to write special things or memories.

Here is the hand part of a sword that lines the top of the pocket opening.  I embellished with flowers

White feathers made a softer bottom for the Wedding Couple to walk on.
I used Distressed Inks, Black Soot, Spun sugar, Worn Lipstick and Pumice stone.

The inside is all Pion Paper, so gorgeous.

I love this saying, it is from Creative Memories and it is on vellum paper.

Big White Space

I really need to create, big huge stress here.  My parents were both in the hospital at the same time!  I think my brother finally figured out how much I need him to help.  Both parents are not well but hanging in there, they are only 70 & 71 years old.  Very young to have significant illnesses.

Anyway I really needed to stay home today and make cards.

I colored her in copies quite some time ago so this card went together pretty quick.

I used swirls over the gauze and then a ribbon, flower, ribbon and flower for embellishment.

I used Spellbinders Lacey Ovals and then embossed it in swiss dots.  I mounted it over the gauze and cut Tilda into a oval to place on top of the lacey oval.

Thank you for stopping by and I needed to let out some steam so thanks for tolerating it.

Birthday Wishes

My relatives have been gone for only 3 days and it seems like years.  We were quite busy and had a blast. My 93 year old grandmother is very spry and on top of everything, I hope I am that lucky!

While shopping with my Aunt Dee, I was connected to a local shop and applied for the Art Crawl in August.  Artists showcase their work in our downtown area and people stop by each store or event to enjoy the artistic talents of everyone.  If I receive approval, I will be able to showcase my cards and then sell them, instead of hoarding them.  I am excited, keeping my fingers crossed!

I chose 3 DP papers for this card, the base is Bazille Basics Wayfarer #304159, The frames are Pink Paislee Collage Press Studio and the accent DP is Echo Park Ballet Dancer #SW804.
I used Spellbinders Floral Ovals and Pink Paislee chipboard lock.  I made my own rosettes and various die cuts for the accents.

I used Papertrey Inks' tiny tags to make special birthday wishes

I used Distressed Inks, Shabby Shutters, Pumice Stone and Spun Sugar for the clothing.  Her hair is Scattered Straw and vintage Photo.  I use Tea Dye for the flesh and tattered rose for the cheeks.

The inside of the card I attached a scalloped envelope so you could put little notes for birthday wishes inside it. I put liquid pearls around the scallop and bottom with some tiny tags.

My Aunt Dee and I, we had to show off our decorating talents.  My poor hubby, we redecorated my kitchen-dining room area, and she even sewed my valance the last night they stayed with us.  My Aunt and I are a lot alike in many ways, we just had a great time together!

The challenges I am entering:

Thanks for stopping in and having a peak at my newest creation.
Hope you have a glorious week!
