Although I do not fish or would I consider fishing, I love this stamp and Fishing Edwin. I have a special person whose birthday is coming up and she loves to fish with her father. This card is just for her.
I used Crate Paper's Little Sprout Collection as my DP on Tangerine from StampinUp. My swirls are from Sizzix and the butterflies are Martha Stewart Punch. The green leafy border die is from Papertrey Ink and also made the multi-colored paper flower below. I used Copics to color with and distressed the edges and rubbed River Rock ink across the white circle.
My masking is getting better but it takes me a few tries to get it right.
I am working with a new camera and this is not as sharp as I wish but the yellow rolled flowers are felt from Papertrey Ink as well as the multi-colored green to the right of them. The multi-colored one is the same Crate Paper cut with a die from Papertrey Ink and then rolled into this flower, it is way better in person.
The sentiment is from Quietfire "The only true gift is a portion of yourself." Lizzy is always giving herself to us and we love her.
Thank you for stopping by today. I am off to the county fair where one of my son's is showing a Llama for 4-H competition today.

Lovely birthday card! Too cute.
ReplyDeleteVery cute card! I love that Tilda is not bashful about doing the things I would cringe at - fishing. Your coloring is gorgeous. Your masking looks great to me. It does take a little practice to get it perfect - that's why I usually cut out images and attach instead of masking. I just love your card!
