Welcome to my blog today!!!
In Minnesota summer is about over and the cool fall weather will bring us beautifully colored trees and plants in golds, rust, deep wine. The only thing I love about saying goodbye to summer is the gorgeous falls we have here, and no bugs to annoy us!
Our new Challenge at Divas by Design is LACE on your creation.
Please join us this week at Divas By Design
Our fabulous sponsor is live and love crafts I know you will want to win their prize!
Here is my canvas I made for the challenge
The canvas is covered in lace using gesso and then I ink blotted it with alcohol inks, then Frantaged it with Stampendous aged ivory. Then I rubbed distressed inks all over the Frantage. Experimenting!
My husbands Uncle passed away and while cleaning out some of his treasures I found vintage jewelry, so in the corner is a piece from his past.
I love it when my friend Sandy calls me 'Sugar" when we talk. I found this charm at Micheals and it fits perfectly.
My products are from Melissa Frances and Prima. The flowers are from WOC, I am Roses and Godt and Kort. One doohickey die and heart ribbon from Websters Pages
Here is a close up of the canvas with lace and frantage.
Dimensional view. I plan on keeping this one for myself, I know I am selfish! lol
I mixed acrylic paint with a thinner and painted the flower. Then I sprinkled on Stampendous Fragments in shabby pink to give the big flowers a shabby chic feel.
So glad you stopped by to visit with me today. I adore your comments and thank you for taking the time to leave one!!
I encourage you to join us at Divas By Design Challenge Blog with your lace creation this week.
See you there!!
Hugs and good luck,
Kelly
Hi Kelly, the lace background looks amazing and I love your experiment with the Frantage and Distress Ink, it worked so well! The flowers are gorgeous and the little sugar sentiment is perfect (Sugar is a very 'English' endearment) as a finishing touch. Gorgeous work! Hugs,, Anne x
