I colored her in distressed inks and added Frontage to the edges.  My frame is from Spellbinders and embellished with flowers and a few dies.

Magnolia-licious is offering a $20.00 gift certificate in a random drawing for the challenge so I hope you join us and enter your Magnolia creation.

Tropical Mermaid

Hello my friends, thank you for stopping by today.  It has been cool here and a bit rainy as is every Spring in the Black Hills.  I was told this area gets most of their moisture in the Spring and then it dries up for the summer.  So far I think that is true.  We are spoiled with gorgeous sunny skies so when the rain starts it seems gloomy forever.  I am looking forward to sunny and warm weather which should be soon!

Midweek Magnolias  has a new challenge today,
ANYTHING GOES

My tropical card has a few Magnolia Doohickey dies and sweet Tilda is colored in distressed inks and the I used glitter and liquid pearls for embellishment.

I hope you join us for our new challenge at Midweek Magnolias and win a awesome prize.  Don't forget to check out the other talented design team ladies, they are so inspiring.
Have a great day!!

Magnolia-licious Spring Blog Hop

Welcome to our SPRING BLOG HOP at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog!!

If you are arriving from beautiful TAMARA then you are on the right track, if not please go back to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and you can see the line up of our talented Design Team.

For the occasion I made a canvas using a ton of spring flowers and the big Magnolia Butterfly.  I wanted to create a something carefree and full of color to celebrate new life and all the blooms that are coming out in Spring.

I hope you are counting the tulips here on this first photo!!

Basically I used a Prima watercolor canvas and Prima water color crayons to create the background. Then I glued flowers and chipboard onto it with some painted cardboard. Lastly I had fun with distressed inks and splattered them onto the canvas.

The butterfly is water colored with the Elegant Writer pen and then I applied modge podge onto it so that it is stiff and able to stand without falling over.

Now for your next stop, HOP over to the super talented...

to see what she has to share with you.

HERE ARE THE RULES
1. Like us on our Magnolia-licious Facebook Fan Page
2. Leave a comment on each DT’s post during the hop.
3. At the end of your Hop return to the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog and
leave a comment there as well for a chance to win a prize.
All comments received are counted and a random winner is chosen.

Participants who enter a project on our Blog Hop Challenge will have a chance to win by random draw also.

Remember to look for the hidden tulips on our blogs!!
Good Luck to you all!!

Caged passion Canvas

I finally found time to make a long canvas using some Prima techniques I learned and their products. The products are shown in the photo below.

These are the coloring elements I used for the canvas.  I assembled it with Prima's moulding paste and used their black and white gesso to get 2 different color effects from their opal magic paint by Finnabair.

This canvas is 18" x 36" and hangs in my bathroom for now.  I do want to sell it and make more similar to this.

The bottom of the Bird Cage from Prima is adorned with flowers that I black gessoed with a touch of white and then adding the opal magic paint. I also used Artist stones, chipboard from Dusty Attic, 2 masks, cardboard, Prima relics and a vintage spoon.

The inside of the cage I glued Prima heart relic and some melange with a few of Finnabair's metals. I had originally made this cage for a Easter project and kept some of those elements.

The bottom of the canvas has a garden theme of flowers, leaves, dirt and the spoon.

The top of the canvas shows more of the card board and you can see the difference between the black gesso and the white gesso by the 2 metallic paint opal magic that I used.

3D effect of the cage, I really glued this one down and waited a very long time before hanging to make sure it did not fall off. Prima's moulding paste is great along with locktite and glossy accents around the edges.

Here it is in my bedroom against the purple walls, this goes with every color in my home.

The lighting shows variable metallics

I really enjoyed this one, it didn't take long to make it as most of it was the drying time for everything.

Thank you for stopping by my blog for a closer look.  I want to sell this canvas and I have checked in options like local consignment shops, etsy, ect.  My question to you is How Much Should I Charge For This?? Your honest opinion would help me with the impending decisions.
Thank you so much!
Have a great day
Kelly
