If you are coming from My Desert Cottage you are in the right place for the blog hop!
Welcome to my blog
This is where I create greeting cards using primarily Magnolia Stamps. I love to color them in Distressed Inks and Copics and then dress them up so that they are more like a "gift" card for special people in our lives. Before I show you my craft room here is a sample of what I make:

I love to adorn everything flowers and pearls if possible.
My Cows are a big hit recently with my blogger friends
Here are my favorite Ballerina cards I made
This little sweetheart is a tag
My most recent card is this baby in a basket.
My Creative Place was our baby nursery and now my crafting space. I like the main floor so that I can create and then stir supper or fix a boo boo. Very efficient for a homeschooling mom. I prefer things organized, clean and simple.
We live in the country and have cows, chickens, pigs, goats, horses, cats, dogs and ducks. Because I am originally a 'city' girl I prefer to have this for my view from my craft room. When I need inspiration I look at the woods and all of God's beauty is right there.
In the afternoons and on the weekend, my husband and I sit on our porch rocking and talking. We get plenty of visitors like our kids and then the dogs show up for and once and a while a goat. Our porch can get quite crowded but I love to look out onto it from my craft room.

I have numerous Crystal pieces from family that I decided to use for my crafting supplies. They used to be stored away in a cabinet and then I thought 'Why Not' use them and then I can see their beauty and remember those who passed them along to me.
I have built in shelves above my son's old dresser to store more of my things like ribbons and tools for the Vagabond and Cricut machines. I also keep my cards on the middle shelf while they dry or until I am ready to send them off.
Below is neat card holder that I found at our local craft store. It is made from wooden spindles and chicken wire so I can pin my cards onto it. My shelf has decorative boxes to store my finished cards in. I love using lace, crocheted doilies and cross stitched table clothes in my room as they add to the shabby chic feel that I love.
You can see my Wedding/Anniversary cards need to be replenished as this box is quite empty.
Just some added storage on my high book shelves for the little things like pearls and gems. I use mason jars for my favorite ribbons.
Here is a closeup of a basket where I keep clear stamps that I use often.
My basic everyday water color paper and stamped images are in these files along with basic white and cream card stock. I use them all the time. My Papertrey Ink stamps stack perfectly next to the paper so I can just grab and go create.
Thank you very much for stopping by my blog and touring my crafting space!
I hope you have a blessed day and enjoy visiting everyone else's spaces!
Kelly

I enjoyed your seeing your room and what beautiful cards you have made!! I scrapbook some, but have done very few cards. What a blessing to have such a window to look out of while you create! Thanks for sharing.

ReplyDeleteKelly,
ReplyDeleteI am still making my way through the list of bloggers on WBC and finally made it to your space. I am enjoying seeing what everyone creates, as well as where they create it. Your cards are truly works of art! I know if I received one, I would frame it and put it up on my wall! You do absolutely beautiful work!
How did you wind up in the country and where did you come from? I live in NY, but had lived for a short while in a small town in NC. I have never lived on a farm or with live animals though. . . lol!
Thanks so much for sharing with all of us, I loved seeing your blog and your corner of the world.
